This mountain is rich with minerals and is said to be a small piece fallen from Hanuman's Sanjeevi Malai! The deity 'Siddheswarar' is a much worshipped god in and around the place. But, one should be careful with the monkeys
- Tharamangalam Temple β is 20 km. from Salem and can be reached by road via Salem Steel Plant. This place is famous for its architecture dating back to around 200 years. One of the important sculptures is Vali Vatham by Rama. Rama can see Vali but Vali cannot see Rama
