Cavnic is a ski resort in Maramureș.

Understand

A former mining town located in the Gutâi mountains east of Baia Mare, Cavnic is now a developing ski resort.

Get in

Several buses link it with Baia Mare (a one hour trip).

  • Biserica Sfanta Varvara (Saint Barbara church), strada Eliberării. An early 19th century Catholic church
  • Logolda, strada Minerilor. The ruins of one of the first gold foundries in Europe

gollark: It might be easier to just run CraftOS-PC under a really minimal Alpine install with X11 and such. Unless it can be made to write to framebuffers directly or something.
gollark: Increasing the floor height would make mountains less cool, which would be more of a problem if they were good in the first place.
