Castillon
Castillon is a pleasant perched village on the road from Menton to Sospel and thence Breil sur Roya.
Understand
It is compact and pretty and the views are spectacular.
Get in
- A8 Exit Menton. Follow signs for Sospel and Monti (D 2566).
- From Breil sur Roya go to Sospel and then take the D 2566 to Menton.
- From Menton it is possible to drive via Castellar instead of taking the D2566 past the A8 interchange.
Do
Hike on the various trails around the village especially the trail towards the Col de Castillon.

- Mare Nostrum. At the Mare Nostrum brewery just by the church. Also buy some of their beer or lemonade to take away.
