Stay safe

Unfortunately, in recent years the city of Camden has been ranked as among the most dangerous cities in the United States. While in Camden, it is best not to travel alone at night, or flaunt expensive jewelry, electronic devices, or anything with significant value. The ranking of Camden as among the most dangerous cities is based on its level of murder, rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, and motor vehicle theft. It is best to avoid the poor areas of Camden, however it is usually safe around the riverfront area. Use common sense in protecting yourself.

Most of the suburban areas surrounding Camden, however, are very friendly and safe (Audubon, Collingswood, Haddonfield, Haddon Heights, Haddon Township, etc.).
