Bushkill Falls
Bushkill Falls is in Pennsylvania, United States of America.
Bushkill Falls is also known as The "Niagara of Pennsylvania". It is a unique series of eight waterfalls, in the Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Although it is not as big as the Niagara Falls, its scenic panorama and romantic atmosphere are worth checking out.
Understand
History
Charles E. Peters purchased the land surrounding the falls and opened the area to public in 1904. Over the years, Charles developed further the area of attraction by building trails and bridges to make the falls more accessible. Bushkill Falls is owned and operated by the Peters family.
Landscape
Bushkill Falls consists of eight falls with the Main Falls cascades over 100 feet. From the headwaters of Bushkill Creek the crystal clear water descends toward the Delaware River. The eight falls are all connected by hiking trails and bridges.
Flora and fauna
The Bushkill Falls natural environment includes a variety of natural mountain plants, trees and flowers. The Pocono itself, in which the attractions are located, is home to a wide variety of both local and migratory bird species including song birds, ducks and geese, wild turkey, owls, hawks, and also eagles. Other faunas include black bear, white-tail deer, bobcat, red and grey fox, coyote, raccoon, skunk, opossum, rabbit, squirrel, woodchuck, and chipmunks.

From New York City and Northern New Jersey
Interstate 80 to Exit 309, Rt. 209 north. Turn left onto Bushkill Falls Road at the blinking light in Bushkill, PA.
From New England and Northeastern Pennsylvania
Interstate 84 to Rt. 209 south. Turn right onto Bushkill Falls Road at the blinking light in Bushkill, PA.
From Philadelphia
Interstate 476 North to Exit 56 Travel Rt. 22 east to Rt. 33. North on Rt. 33 to Interstate 80. East on I-80 to Exit 309. Rt. 209 north. Turn left onto Bushkill Falls Road at the blinking light in Bushkill, PA.
From Central New Jersey
Interstate 78 into Rt. 33 north. Follow the directions from Philadelphia.
Fees
Adults: $11 / day. Seniors: $10 / day. Children 4 to 10: $6 / day. Children 3 and under: Free / day. Group rates are also available.

All of the attractions are mostly accessible by walking through the trails and bridges.
Do
There are a lot of things that you can do in Bushkill Falls. First and foremost is definitely the sightseeing of its beautiful view. Other things that you can do are hiking, fishing, paddle boating, playing golf, mining for gemstones, visiting small Native American museum and many more.

Eat
Although the visitors are not allowed to bring any food or beverage, except water, on the trails, there are varieties of food being offered. Bushkill Falls provides Snack Bar, Ice Cream Shop, and Fudge Kitchen. Picnic areas with pavilions and charcoal grills are also available.
Stay safe
Since this is a natural area with lots of steep stairs going up and down along the trails, it is recommended to wear a pair of comfortable shoes or sneakers. And because the attractions are in the woods, it is also suggested to bring bug spray or a light jacket.
