Astravyets

Astravyets is a town in Grodno Oblast, Belarus. First mentioned in the 15th century as a small private manor, it has grown to become a lively place with about 8000 inhabitants. There's not that much to see in the town itself, but it can serve as a base for viewing the attractions of nearby villages, including the splendid Gothic Revival church of Gierwiaty and the Baroque heritage of Worniany, Bystryca and Michaliszki.
