Alice is a city on the South Texas Plains.

Alice was named after the daughter of ranchman Richard King, who established the famous King Ranch. The city is known as the "birthplace of Tejano music" since it was here, in the 1940s that Tejano was first recorded and popularized.

• Texas Highway 44 goes through the center of town and connects it with Corpus Christi.
