Alden
Understand
Alden is generally a rural town, with the main village located in the southern part of Alden. As of the 2010 Census, the town had a population of 10,865 people, while the village had 2,605 residents. Since it is small and out of the way, there are no tourists in Alden.
Get in
By car
Several miles north of Alden is the New York State Thruway (Interstate 90). Westbound travelers will want to take Exit 48A in Pembroke. To get to the village from the exit, drive south on NY 77 (Alleghany Road) and then turn right on US 20 (Broadway).
If you are driving eastward to Alden, you will want to exit at Exit 49 in Cheektowaga, and then drive south on NY 78 (Transit Road) to US 20 (Broadway).
By plane
The Buffalo Niagara International Airport is the main airport in the region.
By train
West of Alden is the Buffalo-Depew train station.
Get around
US Route 20 (Broadway) is the main road through the village of Alden. Most roads in the village have sidewalks.

- 🌍 The Alden Town Park. It is a nice place to walk around and relax, and it hosts "Winterfest" in early February and a carnival in June. Not to be confused with Robert O. Smith Park half a mile down the road and the town square.

There are several nice restaurants, with the vast majority in the village. There are also multiple fast-food restaurants, which include McDonald's, Subway, and Tim Hortons.
