The most popular form of transportation other than a car is a bicycle. A lot of people ride their bikes around town, and especially up in the Las Trampas Hills. This is a moderate hill for bicyclists.

Alamo does not have many important sights to see, but one of the town's interesting sights is the plastic horse on top of the 🌍 Alamo Shoe Repair. During the holiday season, the horse has a wreath on its neck.

- Mount Diablo State Park - This 20,000 acre park borders Alamo to the northeast and provides great hiking opportunities on a mountain that dominates the landscape for most of central and eastern Contra Costa County. It offers an incredible viewshed, with views on clear days stretching 181 miles to Mount Lassen.
