Al-Kosh

Al-Kosh is an ethnically Assyrian town in the contested Nineveh Province of Iraq, but controlled by Iraqi Kurdistan.

WARNING: Although much safer than neighboring Mosul, travel to Al-Kosh is still very dangerous and is therefore strongly discouraged. If you must go, remain cautious at all times and inquire about the security situation at the many checkpoints on the way to Al-Kosh.
