Épernay
Épernay is a small town in north-east France known for its Champagne production. A number of the most famous brands are produced and cellared in the miles of tunnels which exist beneath the town. Notable brands include Moët et Chandon. Champagne-related places in the town are part of the UNESCO World Heritage site "Champagne Hillsides, Houses and Cellars".
Épernay is surrounded by a number of smaller villages including Oiry and Magenta among others.

By train
Épernay is serviced by France's SNCF. From Paris the trip takes less 1.5 hours and costs approximately 13 Euro. It is some 20 minutes by train from Reims.
There is no TGV service to Epernay, although plans are well underway for the TGV-Est line. It is not expected that such a line will stop in Epernay.
