Zhambyl Tulaev
Zhambyl Tulaev (Russian: Жамбыл Тулаев; 1905 – 1961) was a Soviet sniper.

Tulaev fought in World War II. He killed 313 German soldiers. He was awarded the Hero of the Soviet Union title. Tulaev was born in Buryatia (Russia), May 2, 1905. He was an ethnic Buryat.[1]
Tulaev began war in March 1942. After the war he worked as chairman of the kolkhoz in Buryatia. Zhambyl Tulaev died on January 17, 1961.[2]
