Arth – A Culture Fest

Arth - A Culture Fest[3] is a festival that brings together like minded individuals from across the country. Arth celebrates culture and focuses on aspects such as literature, society, music, tradition, history and art. More than just a festival, Arth takes you through the richness of India — one of the world’s most ancient living civilisations that discovers and re-discovers itself every day, conjures myriad meanings for different people. It is a civilisation united by its diversity, the richness of its culture, the glories of it’s past, the turbulences and triumphs, the landmarks of each era, and the knowledge and legacy that has come down through the centuries.

The First Season[6] of Arth was held on 1 and 2 December 2018, at P C Chandra Garden, Kolkata and on 8, 9 & 10 December 2018, at IGNCA, New Delhi. The Second Season of Arth was held on 4 & 5 January 2020, at Swabhumi, Kolkata and 21, 22 and 23 February, at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Delhi.

The cultural festival not only aims to celebrate the essence of Indic thought and philosophy but also seeks to make it a journey of discovery for the audiences by bringing together a wide array of thinkers, scholars, philosophers, Indologists, artists, artisans, poets and authors. Arth witnesses the participation of more than 250+ scholars, writers, artists and artisans from across India and abroad, bringing audiences myriad activities including panel discussions, cultural performances, workshops, visual art installations and live art to name a few.

Among the prominent names from India that attended as spokespersons for the festival are hon'ble home minister of India Amit Shah[7], Amish Tripathi, Arnab Goswami, Ashwin Sanghi, Bibek Debroy, Gaur Gopal Das, Makarand Paranjpe, Pavan K Varma, Raveena Tandon, Ricky Kej, Sanjeev Sanyal, Smriti Irani, Sonal Mansingh, Shri Subhash Chandra[8], Subramaniam Swamy, Swapan Dasgupta, Syed Salman Chisty, T.V. Mohandas Pai, Tathagata Roy, Vivek Agnihotri. The international contingent included Carl W. Ernst, David Frawley, Domenic DiGiovanni (Homeland Security Department of USA), Hasan KerimGuc from Turkey, Imam Tawhidi from Australia, Karen Attiah (Global Opinions Editor of Washington Post), KoenraadElst, Lavanya Vemsani, Lord Meghnad Desai, Prasenjit Basu, Rajiv Malhotra, Shimon Lev from Israel, Subhash Kak, Tess Davis (Antiquities Coalition), Vamsee Juluri and Indologists and scholars Vishwa Adluri.

Supermoon

An Intellectual Property of ZEE LIVE, Supermoon[5] has been curated with an objective of bringing the leading international entertainment acts from comedy, music, theatre, etc. to India. Supermoon has now become a larger than life phenomenon which aims to give Indian audiences an experience that is enriching and fulfilling to the soul.

The festival has enthralled audiences with events such as Russell Peters[5] as part of The Deported World Tour - touring 6 cities across India with shows in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Pune, and Prateek Kuhad[9] - one of the most influential figures in the Indian independent music firmament who has won several awards such as the MTV Europe Music Award and the Indie Album of the Year Award from iTunes. Supermoon also hosted Prateek Kuhad’s Winter Tour in 2019 that saw shows across 8 countries, including USA, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, Spain and India.

Zee Educare

Zee Educare[10] is an alternate career festival designed for the student community, aiming to address the gap amongst young adults for higher education by bringing together researchers, industry experts, professors and alumnus under-one-roof enabling students to make an informed career decision. The Academic conclave is supposed to aid existing professionals to leap forth in their career graph and for parents and students alike to explore options beyond norms. The festival addresses both conventional and non-conventional educational formats with emphasis on new-age tools and methodologies.

Season 1 of the festival took place in April 2019 and saw 30+ Institute stalls, 40+ Youth icons and panel discussions, 15+ hrs of workshops and 5000+ festival attendees. Some of the prominent speakers that addressed students included CarryMinati, Prajakta Koli, Parmish Verma, Gaurav Taneja, Mukesh Chhabra and more.

Season 2[11] of the festival took place in November 2019 and saw 70+ disciplines, aiming to engage 65 million students and parents across platforms and 6000+ on-ground. It also gave an opportunity to students to have interactive sessions with industry stalwarts. Additionally, one-on-one counseling sessions and personalized vocational and aptitude tests were conducted to help students and parents get themselves future-ready.

Zee Educare also hosts a nation-wide talent hunt titled "Big Break" wherein the top 6 entries are given an opportunity to perform live at the festival. The top three winners of the Big Break win prizes worth ₹1 lakh respectively and are given the opportunity to be a part of the Zee talent roster.
