Yoshiya Kato

Yoshiya Kato (Japanese: 加藤慶也‎, born December 6,1980) is a Japanese businessman, venture capitalist, and chairman of YKBK Enterprise Private Limited, YKBK 48 Entertainment Private Limited and YKBK Infra Private Limited.[1][2][3]

Early life and career

Born on December 6, 1980, in Karatsu City, Japan, Yoshiya runs 55 companies in Japan and India and serves as the Chairman of YKBK Enterprise Private Limited, YKBK 48 Entertainment Private Limited, and YKBK Infra Private Limited. YKBK Enterprise Private Limited is the parent company of 3BL, a 3x3 Pro Basketball League recognized by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA). YKBK 48 Entertainment Private Limited runs DEL48 and MUB48 which are the sister groups of AKB48.[4][5][6]

In 2016 Yoshiya founded Agleymina.EXE, a 3x3 basketball team along with Rohit Bakshi. The team won the 3x3 Japan Premier League Championship title and was announced the 2nd best team in the World after it lost at the World Tour Final Championship in 2016.[7] In 2018 Yoshiya and Rohit Bakshi jointly acquired the rights of 3x3 basketball Indian Sub-continent.[3][8]

Yoshiya teamed up with Masaya Sakamoto to start Massive Drive Inc in 2018 and acquired a team in Prermier.EXE called KARATSU LEO BLACK in the following year.[9][10][1]
