Yisroel Reisman

Yisroel Reisman (Yisroel HaLevi Reisman) is an American rabbi and posek[3] of Orthodox Judaism and Haredi Judaism who resides in Brooklyn, New York. He is one of the roshei yeshiva at Yeshiva Torah Vodaas,[4][5][6][7] where he received semicha from Rav Avraham Yaakov Pam. Rabbi Reisman is the Rabbi of the synagogue Agudas Yisroel of Madison, and he gives a popular weekly lecture on Tanach which is attended by hundreds of people, plus the shiur is shown live via satellite hookup to many Jews throughout the U.S.[8][9] He is also the rabbi of the summer camp network run by Agudath Israel of America.[10][11][1]

Rabbi Reisman is the author of several books on Halacha and Tanach. He believes that the future of the Jewish People is in Israel, and that the Jews who remain in diaspora should support Torah there.[12]
