Yegor (Cyrillic: Его́р), [jɪˈɡor]) is a Russian, Belarusian and Ukrainian given name. Alternative spellings include Egor, Egori, Jegor. The name is an equivalent to the Greek name Georgios, the Germanic name Jäger. The name has Eastern European and Northern European origin that means hunter, archer, and spearman.
