Wintec

Wintec Saddles was launched in 1986 and is a saddle brand known for the first synthetic saddles.[1][2]

History

The company is a subsidiary of Saddlery Brands International[3] (formerly Bates Australia), originally established in 1934,[4] and is known for its innovative approach to saddle manufacturing.[2] in particular the synthetic "Wintec Saddle brand".[5]

Saddles

The company's saddles many world-leading innovative systems most notably Horse and Rider Technology[6] which includes the popular EASY-CHANGE Fit Solution and CAIR Cushion System.[7]

Wintec Saddles are best known for being easy-care, durable, weatherproof and waterproof - rather than oiling like a leather saddle, you can simply hose it off. [8]

The Easy Change Gullet System was designed in 1998 to help custom fit a saddle to a horse’s withers, maintaining clearance of the wither as the horse’s shape changes.[9] and help maintain a good saddle fit [10]

The CAIR Panel System, an air filled panel, was developed in 2000 as an alternative to the traditional flocking in saddles,[7] and helps to evenly distribute the rider’s weight.[11][12] [13]

Major Affiliations
