William Moulsoe

William Moulsoe (died 20 October 1601)[1] (variants include Mulshaw, Mulsho,[2][3] Moulso,[4] and Mulso)[5] was the father of Mary Moulsoe Digby (died 1653),[1] who married the Gunpowder Plot conspirator Sir Everard Digby (c. 1578 – 1606), and gave birth to (among others) Sir Kenelm Digby (1603 – 1665), noted English courtier, diplomat, natural philosopher, Roman Catholic intellectual, and founding member of the Royal Society.[2] Moulsoe's spouse is listed on a memorial site as Alice Brian Moulsoe (died 1509), which would make her roughly 100 years his senior.[1]
