Style

The magazine is an entertainment and culture magazine, with references also to current events. What's On has a reputation as a reliable publication and is unafraid of poking fun at public figures or politicians.

History

The magazine was founded in 1999, the first Editor In Chief was Amanda Pitt. Peter Dickinson then edited What's On between 2001 and 2007. The editor after Dickinson was Neil Campbell. Campbell handed over editorial duties in 2011 to Lana Nicole Niland. What's On was then owned by PAN Publishing, who also published Panorama, the in-flight magazine of Ukraine International Airlines. The magazine ceased regular publication after the 2013/14 Revolution of Dignity in Ukraine. In the summer of 2014 a special edition of What's On was published, the "Chronicle of a Revolution" was a compendium of the news and photo coverage and some feature articles that had been published in What's On during the 12-week period of the revolution.

What's On returned in September 2017, now published on a monthly basis. The magazine is now owned by Outpost Publishing, Lana Nicole Niland is the owner and Editor in Chief of this publication.

gollark: I'm talking about maintaining technology level, not exactly the entire society.
gollark: Wikipedia, while not exactly useful to rebuild civilization from, fits 20 times over on one of those tiny 256GB SD cards.
gollark: You can store it really densely and whatnot.
gollark: At the other end, you can rebuild all your technology from a portable nanofabricator or something.
gollark: At the low end, you have "bash rocks together" which you just need rocks for (if on a planet).
