Wernya hamigigantea

Wernya hamigigantea is a moth in the family Drepanidae. It was described by Da-Yong Xue and Hong-Xiang Han in 2012.[1] It is found in Hainan, China.[2]

Adults can be distinguished from related species by the much paler wing colour, and the oblique antemedial lines, with the area between them reddish brown.

Etymology

The species name refers to the large hooked carina of the aedeagus and is derived from the Latin prefix ham- and giganteus.[3]
