Wendy Rahamut
Wendy Rahamut came onto the Trinidad food scene in 1995. She is a Trinidadian cookbook author of 3 internationally published Caribbean cookbooks, Caribbwan Flavors, Modern Caribbean Cuisine and Curry Callaloo and Calypso. She is a television personality,food stylist, teacher, chef and Baker. She owns the Wendy Rahamut school of cooking since 1995. For 10 years she was editor in Chief and owner of Caribbean Gourmet Magazine. She is the executive producer of Caribbean Flavours, the longest running local cooking show which began in 1998 and ran until 2017. She introduced Indigenous Bites, an on-line cooking show with the objective of highlighting local indigenous ingredients and their uses in Trinidad.
Rahamut was the weekly food writer for the Trinidad Guardian from 1995- 2017. She now writes her weekly food column for the Trinidad Newsday.' Rahamut is passionate about local Trinidad foods and cooking and strives to promote wellness through proper nutrition in her local recipes. She lectures on adopting healthy lifestyles through food. She also recently introduced a healthy line of artisan breads in Trinidad.
