Wellyn Totman

Edward Llewellyn Totman, known professionally as Wellyn Totman (August 3, 1903 - October 6, 1977) was a film and television screenwriter in Hollywood. His work includes original stories and adaptations such as the Mascot Pictures movie serial The Miracle Rider starring Tom Mix. He also wrote several Republic Pictures films. He was born and raised in Duluth, Minnesota.[1]

He was named after his father and grandfather. He attended Washburn Elementary School and Duluth Central High School.[2] His writing career began in high school where he wrote a play, wrote reviews for the newspaper, and did event booking and promotion.[1]

Tottman was arrested for drunk driving and belligerence in 1937 and his writing productivity declined in the 1940s.[1]

Work

Totman's work includes:[3]

gollark: ?
gollark: What if it makes, say, 100 transactions for 1 currency unit to get around that?
gollark: Basically payment is very hard.
gollark: You need the PIN and card, but I don't know if there's anything stopping it from displaying "please authorize a £10 transaction" then actually *making* a £100 one.
gollark: Real payment systems partly get around this by making the chip on the card itself do some cryptography, so it can't make payments without the card being physically there still, but I don't think there's actually anything other than trust, the law, and "security" through obscurity stopping a payment thing from deducting more money than it should?
