History

WeVideo Inc. began life as Creaza, Inc.[1], an online creative toolbox used by children throughout Europe. Creaza, Inc. owns a related company in Norway called Creaza Education that provides a suite of digital tools for the K-12 market, including comic tools, audio editing, mind-mapping, and video editing applications.[2]

WeVideo publicly launched its services in September 2011, changing its name from Creaza, Inc. to avoid any confusion with Creaza Education and to reflect the social and collaborative nature of the platform.[3]

Since its 2011 launch, WeVideo has grown into more than a video creation platform. They have become a Premier Dropbox Technology Partner, a Microsoft Education Partner and a Google for Education Partner.

They were announced as a launch partner for Google Drive, Google's cloud-based collaboration and storage service, in April of 2012.

WeVideo has an extensive library of features throughout several plan options. There is green screen, branding, GIF creator, quick record, simultaneous webcam and screen recording, a library of over 1 million stock media assets and so much more.
