Waskemeer
Waskemeer (West Frisian: Waskemar) is a village of about 840 inhabitants in the municipality of Ooststellingwerf[1] in the east of Friesland, the Netherlands.

The village lies in the north of Ooststellingwerf. It is named after a pond 2 km to the west called Waskmar, which in turn means 'wash-lake' as it was used to wash sheep.
Football
Waskemeer has a football team called Fuotbalferiening Waskemar. Its uniform is black and the shirt has a green horizontal band and white arm band. The trousers are black with green pin stripe, and green socks with black band.[2]
