Waqar Salamkheil
Waqar Salamkheil (born 2 October 2001) is an Afghan cricketer. He made his Test cricket debut for the Afghanistan cricket team in March 2019.[1]

Domestic and T20 career
He made his first-class debut for Band-e-Amir Region in the 2017–18 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament on 19 November 2017, taking five wickets for 162 in the second innings.[2] He finished the 2017–18 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament as the joint-leading wicket-taker, with a total of 55 wickets.[3]
In September 2018, he was named in Kandahar's squad in the first edition of the Afghanistan Premier League tournament.[4] He made his Twenty20 debut for Kandahar Knights in the 2018–19 Afghanistan Premier League on 6 October 2018.[5] In October 2018, he was named in the squad for the Comilla Victorians team, following the draft for the 2018–19 Bangladesh Premier League.[6]
In July 2019, he was selected to play for the Edinburgh Rocks in the inaugural edition of the Euro T20 Slam cricket tournament.[7][8] However, the following month the tournament was cancelled.[9] In September 2019, he was named in the squad for the Tshwane Spartans team for the 2019 Mzansi Super League tournament.[10]
He made his List A debut for Band-e-Amir Region in the 2019 Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament on 10 September 2019.[11]
International career
In February 2019, he was named in Afghanistan's Test squad for their one-off match against Ireland in India.[12][13] He made his Test debut for Afghanistan against Ireland on 15 March 2019.[14]
