Walton Street Capital is a private equity real estate investment firm founded in 1994 by American billionaire real estate and casino magnate Neil Bluhm[2] and other senior executives from his previous venture, JMB Realty.[3] The firm specializes in value-added and opportunistic investment strategies.[4] Walton Street Capital is headquartered in Chicago[5], with satellite offices in Mexico City[6] and Mumbai.[7]

Since its inception in 1994 the firm has invested and managed approximately $12 billion of total equity and loan commitments on behalf of public and corporate pension plans, foreign institutions, insurance companies and banks, endowments and foundations, trusts, and high net worth individuals. Through its affiliates, Walton Street has invested in over 350 separate transactions in the U.S. and international real estate, including the development and acquisition of office, hotel, retail, industrial, multi-family, for-sale residential, senior and student housing, gaming and other assets through both individual and company-level transactions.[8][9][10] The firm’s principals have made over $51 billion of investments in real estate and real estate operating companies.
