Walter A. McDaniel
Walter Antonio McDaniel (January 1, 1971)[1] is an American comic book artist who has contributed to titles as Deadpool, Wolverine, Deathlok, Spider-Man, and Batman.[2] He has more than twenty years of experience in the creative industry and has worked with established companies including Marvel, DC Comics, Hasbro and Mattel. He is now the founder and CEO of Red Dragon Media (赤龙世漫), a Beijing-based animation studio.

Personal life
Walter A. McDaniel was born January 7, 1971[3] and raised in Harlem of New York City. He has lived in America, Japan, Hong Kong and mainland China.
Career
McDaniel landed his first professional job at the age of 16 when he began working at Prometheus Productions. While attending high school at John F. Kennedy High School, under the management of his sister Sophia M. McDaniel, he worked as a storyboard artist in charge of layout and design of advertising campaigns for companies such as Avon, Lancome, Macy's, and CNN. After graduating, he began his career in the comic industry with a stint at Continuity Comics, where he specialized in both commercial and comic book art. He majored in Illustration and Graphic Design at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. He worked as a contract artist for Marvel Comics from 1991 to 1992, Image Comics from 1995-1997, and DC Comics from 1997-1998. He then left the comics industry and joined the toy industry to design toys. Between jobs, he also has taught life drawing classes at the Children's School of Arts, and continues to tutor young aspiring artists.
In the year 2011, he founded Red Dragon Media in Beijing. The company is focused on cross-media and cross-cultural intellectual properties.
