Waldemar Piątek
Waldemar Piątek (born November 2, 1979) is a Polish football player. He is a goalkeeper for Lech Poznań. Piątek was born on November 2, 1979 in Dębica, Poland. He started his career in Wisłoka Dębica where he played until the spring season of 2001. Then, he moved to KSZO Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, and in the spring of 2003 he was bought by Lech Poznań.[1] Piątek is regarded as one of the best Polish goalies. In the season 2003/2004, while representing Lech, he won the Cup of Poland and later, the Supercup of Poland. In July 2004 Piatek was called up to the Polish national football team for a 1-1 Chicago game versus U.S.; however, he spent the game on the bench. Height - 184 cm, weight - 77 kg.
