Waarder

Waarder is a village in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is a part of the former municipality of Reeuwijk, and lies about 5 km southwest of Woerden.

In 2001, the village of Waarder had 1143 inhabitants. The built-up area of the village was 0.18 km², and contained 416 residences.[1] The statistical area "Waarder", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 1250.[2]

Waarder was a separate municipality until 1964, when it became part of Driebruggen,[3] which became part of Reeuwijk in 1989. Since 2011 it is part of the municipality of Bodegraven-Reeuwijk.
