Vora
Vora may refer to : clan in chalukya dynasty of rajasthan.They belong to agnivanshi.Due to some historical incidence they have to be incorporate themselves in brahmin,paatidar communities from kshatriya communities now a days.They belongs to oswal community, so now a days, many vora still there in baniya family.According to mythological history,when lord parahuram were used his axe to extinct the kshtriyas from this universe 21 times, many kshatriya have accepted other occupations to save their life like some accepted farming become farmer,some accepted animal husbandry became aahirs,gurjars,Few people accepted weaving clothes became vankar,many people accepted trading and become baniyas.Afterthat,Their families became farmer like kurmi,herdmen like aahir,weaver(vankar),baniya forever till date.According to Other theory,when aurangzeb had started genocide of hindus particulary kshtriya/warrior community to expand islam in india,Many communities had chosen to work for them as their farmer,trader or artisan rather than to convert to mohammedans and became kurmi,aahir,vankar,baniya,etc.Some vora converted to islam and came to known as vhoras or Ansaris.Many kshatriyas converted to islam and become khan or pathan mostly and some brahmins converted to become saiyad now a days.some paatidar also converted to islam.Many baniyas to Shah or vhora,shekh too.
Vora was lived in present day mandalgarh of rajasthan, bhilwara district of rajasthan.The fort was built by solanki (chalukya) king.They worked as soldiers in army of raja rajsingh in mid 17th century.ln later 17th century, Aurangjeb attacked and captured palace and did religious conversion by threaten.Many vora migrates to Patan,surendranagar,Kathiyawad(morbi),and Daman.Some converted to muslim like vhora,vahora.Some remain there in mewar and some other districts and now came to be called as Bora,bohra,etc.
Vora surname also belongs to dhangar community of chauhan dynasty with rushi gotra in maharashtra.
In Gujarat, vora belongs to brahman,baniya,patidar.Some who was economically become so poor due to fall down of their cloth factories due to tough competition with cotton clothes provided at cheaper rate by East India Company here in india and after indian constitution was came into effect,those vora whose economical and social condition was miscerable was included in vankar community and those who was doing farming,trading or religious ceremony remain in patidar,baniya and brahman community respectively.This is the short and real history of vora in india.
Many vora family migrated to other countries like america,canada,australia and africa.
