Volta Hotels Limited

Volta Hotels Limited is Strategic Business Unit instituted by the Volta River Authority (VRA), in Ghana.[1] Volta Hotel Limited, Incorporated in 1991, a three-star hotel, restaurant, modern conference and seminar facilities and pleasure activities like the Dodi Island, Dodi Princess etc.

The hotel has plans to expand its total capacity to about one hundred and twenty (120) rooms, with the support of a strategic investor to offer excellent services in a luxurious ambiance to become highly competitive in the hospitality industry.[2]

The organization oversees the management of all of VRA's recreational and non-power generation ventures on the Volta River.
They include:

  • Dodi Princess - a cruise ship on Lake Volta reservoir.
  • Akosombo Hotel - a hotel at Akosombo, Ghana.
  • Dodi Island - Also known as Dodi world is Ghana’s first destination experience offering a unique package of adventure, entertainment, history and education on the beautiful banks of the Volta River in Akosombo providing a fantastic view of the lake, dam, and adjoining mountain slope. Dodi world awaits you with multi-fold excitement. Dodi World offers a memorable voyage experience on board its 150 capacity pleasure boat the famous MV Dodi Princess II to Dodi Island an 84 hectar Island located 5 kilometres off the shore of Lake Volta which provides tourist and holiday makers an opportunity to experience nature as well as enjoy the daring thrills on varied water sports equipment.[3]
