Vinod Raj

Vinod Raj is a Kannada film actor known for his dancing skills.[1] He worked with actors such as Ambareesh, Arjun Sarja, Ramesh Arvind, Srinivas Murthy.[2]

In 2009, he released his album named Bhaktanjali,[3] which consists of devotional songs. Vinod Raj has given vocals for some of the movies he has worked in. He once asserted that Michael Jackson was his inspiration for both singing and dancing.

Personal life

Vinod Raj is the son of known Kannada actress Leelavathi.

Dwarakish, an actor and producer, introduced Vinod Raj to the Kannada film industry.

Career

In his first two films, Vinod Raj acted in a side-role and later went on to work under his home banner. His dance moves in Dance Raja Dance, a Kannada dance movie, gained popularity on YouTube and were used in Grand Theft Auto III. After working in other venues, Vinod Raj continued working in the Kannada film industry.[4]

Charity and philanthropy

Vinod Raj was the only actor to donate to TV9 Kannada's Flood Relief Fund. He joined Anna Hazare's movement supporting Jan Lokpal Bill against corruption.
