The airstrip was opened during 1962 Indo-China War and was in operation until 2016 and then the runway was declared unfit and was takenup for resurfacing. The development was difficult as there is no road network to connect to the location, the ALG was reopened for full operation during 2019.[1] The local population is dependent on the airstrip for transport of their essentails as there is no easy mode of trasport available in this locality.
