Vijay Shivtare

Vijay Shivtare also Called as "Bapu" was a member of the 13th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. He had represented the Purandar Assembly Constituency until 2019 Assembly election of the state in which he very badly defeated by Sanjay Jagtap of Congress with margin of about 31000 votes, He was challenged by Ajit Pawar The former Deputy Chief Ministers of the state to become a MLA this time because of his aggressive and irresponsible comments and speeches. He belongs to the Shiv Sena.[1][2] In November, 2014, he was appointed party spokesman by the Shiv Sena.[3] He was appointed Maharashtra's minister of state in December, 2014[4] he was given the water resources, water conservation portfolio. He was also given responsibility of being guardian minister of Satara district.[5]
