Vidya Sahai Mishra
Early Life
Mishra was the elder brother of renowned tabla player Sharda Sahai Mishra. At a young age he started learning sarangi from Sita Ram Mishra.
Career
Mishra continued under Panalal Mishra and then under the renowned sarangi player Hanuman Prasad Mishra. His son Prabhu Sahai Mishra died at a very young age after he tried to catch a train and fall on the tracks in 2006. Mishra was one of the best known sarangi players from Varanasi. He also taught his grandsons Vinayak and Krishna Mishra.[1][2]
Death
Mishra died in 2019 in Vanarasi.[1]
