Vicente Calderón

Vicente Calderón Pérez-Cavada (Spanish pronunciation: [biˈθente kaldeˈɾom ˈpeɾeθ kaˈβaða]; 27 May 1913  – 24 March 1987) was a businessman and president of Atlético Madrid for twenty years.

This article uses Spanish naming customs: the first or paternal family name is Calderón and the second or maternal family name is Pérez-Cavada.

As President of Atlético Madrid he helped in getting their new stadium built, and in 1971 it was renamed Estadio Vicente Calderón in his honour.[1]
