Vexillum amabile is a species of small sea snail, marine gastropod mollusk in the family Costellariidae, the ribbed miters.[1] The higher group are the Gastropoda.

Description

The shell size varies between 10 mm and 20 mm.

Life cycle

Embryos develop into planktonic trocophore larvae and later into juvenile veligers before becoming fully grown adults.

Distribution

This species is distributed in the Red Sea and in the Indian Ocean along Madagascar, the Mascarene Basin, Mauritius and Tanzania; in the Pacific Ocean along the Philippines and Papua New Guinea.
