Veritas vos liberabit
Veritas vos liberabit (Latin) is a variant of Veritas liberabit vos ("the truth shall set you free"; Greek: ἡ ἀλήθεια ἐλευθερώσει ὑμᾶς hē alētheia eleutherōsei hymas), verse 8:32 of the Gospel of John, a statement which Jesus addresses to a group of Jews who believed in Him. Pontius Pilate has the philosopher's response in verse John 18:38: "Quid est veritas?" ("What is truth?", Τί ἐστιν ἀλήθεια, Ti estin alētheia?).
