Vellam: The Essential Drink (transl. Water: The Essential Drink) is an upcoming Indian Malayalam-language film based on the real life story of a drunkard from Kannur written and directed by Prajesh Sen.[1]

Production

The film "Vellam: The Essential Drink" stars Jayasurya in the lead role. Vellam went on the floors with the official pooja held in November 2019 at the Anjumana Devi Temple in Ernakulam and now on post production stage. Samyuktha Menon is the female lead in this movie. Vellam is produced under the banner Friendly Productions.[2][3][4][5][6][7][8]

Music

The first song from the Vellam: The Essential Drink is released on 21st June 2020. The song is written by Nidheesh Naderry composed by Bijibal and sung by Ananya. [9][10]
