VSiN is run by the family of sportscaster Brent Musburger—who serves as a lead on-air personality and host for its weekday program My Guys in the Desert (whose title references Musburger's thinly-veiled references to bookmakers as his "friends in the desert" in his commentary).[1][2]

History

VSiN was launched in February 2017 by talent agent Brian Musburger, attorney Todd Musburger and documentary film producer Dave Berg. Broadcaster Brent Musburger joined VSiN as lead on-air personality after his January 2017 departure from ESPN.[3] VSiN's inaugural broadcast was on February 5, 2017, with a focus on Super Bowl LI.[4]

Former Chicago Tribune Media executive Bill Adee was hired in March 2017 to be chief operating officer,[5] followed by Fox Sports media executive Rick Jaffe, who was hired in May 2017, to be executive producer.[6]

In March 2019, VSiN partnered with Anthem Sports & Entertainment to syndicate programming on its Canadian cable network Game+, including A Numbers Game on weekday mornings, and a weekly highlights program.[7]

In February 2020, VSiN struck an agreement to produce "BetCasts" for iHeartRadio, covering two XFL contests in real-time each week.[8]

Personalities

Alongside Musburger, other on-air hosts employed by VSiN include Mitch Moss, Pauly Howard, Gill Alexander, Ron Flatter, Matt Youmans, Michael Lombardi, Jonathan Von Tobel , Amal Shah, Patrick Meagher and Jeff Parles. VSiN also employs oddsmakers Jimmy Vaccaro, Vinny Magliulo and Chris Andrews to appear on its broadcasts.[9]

gollark: There's a dinosaur earth subreddit and everything.
gollark: No, I think dinosaur earth belief is more common than cone earth belief.
gollark: New Earth shape belief?
gollark: Point is that it's not exactly a very significant hurdle for whoever is designing weapons, but is quite annoying for people working on cubesats and balloons and stuff.
gollark: It's a weird restriction, considering that presumably if you can engineer an entire missile you can also work out a way around restrictions in GPS hardware, to be honest.
