Vateria copallifera

Vateria copallifera is a species of plant in the family Dipterocarpaceae. It is endemic to Sri Lanka. Fruits have a bitter taste. Traditionally people in the surrounding villages of the tree growing areas collect fruits for preparation of various food items.
