Varsha Dixit

Varsha Dixit is an Indian author who has written the novel Right Fit Wrong Shoe, an English language love story, intended for adolescents but widely read by adults as well.[1][2] A voracious reader of murder and grotesque mysteries, she originally intended to write a book on serial killers but finding it impossible to maim or kill anyone, even on paper, she penned a romantic story instead. Currently she resides in the U.S with her family.

Education

She did her Schooling at St. Mary’s Convent, Kanpur, received B.A (Honours) in Political Science from Indraprastha College, New Delhi, pursued a Diploma course in Mass Communications from Sophia Polytechnic, Mumbai and undertook film editing courses from UCLA extension, Los Angeles.[3]

Career

Her debut book Right Fit Wrong Shoe was released in late 2009 and went on to become a bestseller. The book in its 7th edition sold over 20,000 copies, followed by her second book Xcess Baggage which is also the first vampire sci-fi book of India.The book's official launch was recently held in "The Oxford book store", Delhi for which she flew to India from the U.S.[4]
