History
Vanderveen announced in March 2004 on their website that they recorded the first part of their album with Grammy-nominated, Juno Award-winning producer Brandon Friesen. It was also announced on 4 June 2004 that their first single, Weekend Full of Weekends, got heavily broadcast on Canadian radio stations even though the single was independently released on 1 September 2004. Recording for the album was completed on 21 August 2004. Then, the album entered post-production for more than a year. During that time, the band uploaded samples of their songs on their website. Vanderveen finally announced that their self-titled album was scheduled for release on 17 January 2006, at the same time that the videoclip for Weekend Full of Weekends.[1]
