The colleges was established in 1948 by Haripada Ghosal, with local donations.[2]

Accreditation
Recently, Uluberia College has been re-accredited and awarded B grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).[3] The college is also recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).[4]
