Ulagam Sirikkirathu (lit. 'World is laughing') is a 1959 Indian Tamil language film[1] directed by R.Ramamurthy, written by Lakshmi Krishnan and produced by R.T.Govindhan. It features M. R. Radha,Prem Nazir,R. Muthuraman,Sowcar Janaki in key roles.

Plot

The story revolves around set of people in different category of society, struggling due to ill effects of Race horse gambling. The movie is known for M.R.Radha's one liners and social messages.[2]

Ulagam Sirikkirathu was produced under the banner Prabhu Films. Original story was written by Lakshmi Krishnan where screenplay was written P.R.Seenu vasan. Directed & edited by R.Ramamurthy and cinematographer done by V.Ramamurthy.[3]

Soundtrack

The music was composed by Susarla Dakshinamurthi. The playback singers were C. S. Jayaraman,Ghantasala, Sirkazhi Govindarajan, S. C. Krishnan, A. L. Raghavan,P. Susheela.
