Ujjwal Maulik

Ujjwal Maulik[1] is an Indian computer scientist and a professor and the former Chair of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Jadavpur University, Kolkata, West Bengal India. He also held the position of the Principal in charge and the Head of the Dept. of Comp. Sc. and Engg., Kalayni Govt. Engg. College. Maulik is the recipient of Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship during 2010, 2011 and 2012 and Senior Associate of ICTP, Italy during 2012-2018. He is the Fellow of Indian National Academy of Engineers (INAE), India, International Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR), USA and The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), USA. His research interest include Machine Learning, Pattern Recognition, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Multi-objective Optimization, Social Networking, IoT and Autonomous Car.

Education

Maulik received Ph.D Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, West Bengal India in 1997. He completed Masters with Honors in Computer Science & Engineering from Jadavpur University in 1992. He did B. Tech in Computer Science & Technology with Honors from Calcutta University, Rajabazar Science College in 1989. He also completed B. Sc. in Physics Honors from Calcutta University in 1986. He passed Class X and XII from Nabadwip Bakultala High School, Nabadwip and Rahara Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College, Rahara during 1981 and 1983 respectively.
