Udupi Anantheshwara Temple is a historic Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Ananteshwara, (Lord Vishnu) and the place of worship is the in Udupi, India.[1][2]

Shri Anantheswara temple

It was renovated during the reign of the Alupas in the 8th century C.E. and is considered among the oldest in the Tulu Nadu region. It is close to Shri Chandramouleshwara Temple which is the place where Lord Chandra did penance to please Lord Rudra's antaryami Sankarshana

The temple is adjacent to the more famous Udupi Sri Krishna Matha established by saint Shri Madwacharyara, who preached dwaitha philosophy in Udupi.
