Route description

From the west, Business US 190 begins travelling eastward into downtown Covington. The older alignment of US 190, it meets LA 21 at a signalled intersection, and LA 21 is combined with Business US 190 until the Business 190 designation is dropped at the current US 190. Going through downtown, the now-combined Business US 190/LA 21 intersect LA 437. After under a mile, the Business US 190 designation is dropped, leaving US 21 to continue in an easterly direction.
