Tropical Storm Vicente

The name Vicente has been used for one tropical cyclone in the Eastern Pacific Ocean.

The name Vicente was used for two tropical cyclones in the northwestern Pacific Ocean, it was submitted by the United States.

  • Tropical Storm Vicente (2005) (T0516, 16W) – Caused severe flooding in Vietnam and Thailand.
  • Typhoon Vicente (2012) (T1208, 09W, Ferdie) – Affected the Philippines, Hong Kong, Macau and Guangdong, China. It made the HKO issue the Hurricane Signal, No. 10, the first time since York in 1999.

After the 2012 season, the name was retired in the Western Pacific and replaced by the name Lan, which is Marshallese for storm.

  • Typhoon Lan (2017) (T1721, 25W, Paolo) – a very large and strong typhoon that impacted Japan.
