The name Marilyn was used once in the Atlantic. However, after 1995, the name was retired and replaced with "Melissa".

The name Marilyn has been assigned by PAGASA for two tropical cyclones in the Western Pacific. Marilyn is the replacement name for Typhoon Mina, which was retired after a destructive typhoon in 2011.
